The Alumni Association is a non-regional Chapter of The Victorian Society in America (VSA) for past participants of the Victorian Society Summer Schools.

The Association was inaugurated in 1975 following the first Summer School held in London.

Bylaws

The Alumni Association is mandated to act in accordance with its bylaws.  Copy here.

Board

The Alumni Association is managed by a Board of Directors consisting of all officers of the Association (i.e. the President, Vice President, Corresponding Secretary, Membership Secretary & Treasurer) and three directors.  The board convenes at least annually, and there is an Annual Meeting.

The Association’s directors are
typically elected for two year terms.
The current Alumni Association board is spread across the country and one member in Europe, and is as listed in the sidebar the right.

Mission

The Association was formed for the following purposes:

  • To support and encourage the national organization of the Victorian Society in America especially its purposes as defined in the Society's bylaws;

  • To promote the programs of the Victorian Society Summer Schools;
  • To provide opportunities for professional, educational and social interaction of the Summer Schools Alumni through study tours, seminars and other activities; 
  • To provide consistent scholarship funds for the Victorian Society Summer Schools; and
  • To encourage participation in, and a high level of scholarship, through attendance in the Victorian Society Summer Schools.
